Description: The late Upper Palaeolithic, or Creswellian tools from Britain are similar to those from the Magdalenian industry of France. One of the most distinctive elements of the Creswellian industry is the báton de commandement, implements whose shaft ends in a perforated round circle, normally made of bone or antler. The late Upper Palaeolithic is well-represented, as the name implies, at the Creswell Crags cave sites. [pdp]
